Types of Assessments Offered
Clinical neuropsychological
An evaluation of cognitive functioning including memory, attention, planning, organization, language, visual-spatial functioning, and motor abilities in addition to psychological functioning and decision making skills.
Vocational rehabilitation
An assessment focused evaluating the individual's psychological and cognitive profile to determining limitations and recommended accomodations to aid in optimizing the individual's work performance.
Psychoeducational
A comprehensive assessment focused on factors impacting academic achievement. Results can be submitted to schools or testing boards (SAT, GRE, LSAT, etc.) in order to obtain accommodations to assist in the individual's academic performance.
Parental fitness
An evaluation designed to identify aspects of a parent’s lifestyle, cognitive functioning, parental habits and psychological state that might affect child rearing. In cases of custody disputes, this evaluation is essential in the determination of a parent's capability to meet the child's emotional and physical needs.
competence to stand trial
Also known as Fitness to Proceed, this evaluation assesses the defendant's current capacity to understand the legal proceedings and assist the defense attorney. Specialized assessments are used for defendants with intellectual disabilities.
Pre-Surgical
Assessments designed to identify pre-surgery psychosocial factors that may impact post operative success. Recommendations are shared with both the treatment team and the patient. These evaluations are available for bariatric surgery candidates and transplant surgery patients.
disability assessment
Individuals seeking enrollment in various social services programs are required to obtain an evaluation of their psychological health. This testing assesses the presence and type of psychological or intellectual disability if any.
asylum Assessment
Refugees and asylum seekers coming to the United States often require these types of evaluations as part of their immigration application. This evaluation is conducted in accordance with the standards described in the U.N. document known as the “Istanbul Protocol”.
intelligence testing
IQ tests may be performed for a variety of reasons including for the purposes of providing justification for academic acceleration. The results of IQ testing may also be used to provide documentation for entrance into gifted programs or organizations.
